The escape has been sitting in the driveway all week, and I finally got the other brake done. I just got a temporary sticker and a plate. I'll install the plate before the maiden voyage tomorrow. My father also had the bright idea of "gluing" the reluctor ring back with threadlock.

Nice to see it going from "pile of paint, rust and dog hair" to something good.

I probably exaggerated that, it was quite decent actually. The ABS tried to kill me a few times, but I lived.

I wasn't judging. I thought that line was funny because I've owned that car.
Im a fan of the 1g Escape.

I think thats a ford thing, i had to disabkle the abs in my buddys ranger because it kept trying to kill us.

...how does that work? (Have never owned a car with abs...but not sure how it would kill you)....

GM and Fords ABS and probably others work by reducing pedal pressure and a few other things but it reduces the pressure by literally depressing the pedal. You can be standing on the brakes and it will fight you.

My father glued the ABS ring back on, and so far, it didn't happen. So, a little tip here.
